An essential part of a Sprint is a Retrospective, often just referred to as a 'retro'. This meeting is organized at the end of the sprint and is a time for a team to reflect on their last learning cycle.
There are many ways to structure a retro, but its goal is to reflect on the experience. Typically, the meeting focuses on these four questions:
- What went well? - What didn’t go so well? - What have we learned? - What still puzzles us?
This reflection is critical to identify insights that help shape the next sprint.
The Retro is a core piece of most agile frameworks, including Scrum.
